Mission

Lead the definition and execution of Talkative's product roadmap, aligning it with the company's vision and customer needs. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our product offerings by discovering new feature ideas through data analysis, customer interactions, and collaboration with internal teams. You will ensure that our products deliver exceptional value to our customers and build our position as a market leader.

Outcomes

  1. Define Roadmap Based on Company Vision and Customer Needs
    • Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap that aligns with Talkative's vision and addresses customer pain points.
    • Regularly update the roadmap based on evolving market trends and stakeholder feedback.
    • Maintain a detailed set of requirements and feature requests in GitLab.
  2. Discover Feature Ideas Through Data and Customer Interaction
    • Analyse user data to identify usage patterns and areas for improvement.
    • Coordinate with customer support and sales teams to gather insights on customer needs and challenges.
    • Conduct interviews with users and prospects to uncover new feature requests and validate ideas.
    • Respond to ad hoc requests from customers, support, and sales in a timely manner.
  3. Collaborate with Development and Design to Write Feature Specs
    • Work closely with the development and design teams to create detailed feature specifications.
    • Where necessary, sharing prototypes/mockups with users/prospects to validate ideas before development.
    • Ensure that specs are user-centric, technically feasible, and aligned with the product vision.
  4. Work with Development to Produce Features
    • Oversee the development process to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features.
    • Facilitate clear communication between cross-functional teams to resolve any issues that arise.
  5. Write Documentation and Communicate Features
    • Prepare comprehensive documentation for new releases, including user guides and technical notes. 
    • Communicate new features and updates to marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure alignment and effective go-to-market strategies.
    • For releases that affect existing users, communicate to users ahead of time and schedule in release dates accordingly. 
  6. Analyse Impact of Releases
    • Measure the performance of new features against key metrics such as user engagement and customer satisfaction.
    • Use data-driven insights to inform future product decisions and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Experience
    • 3+ years of product management experience within SaaS or contact center solutions.
    • Proven track record of defining product roadmaps and delivering successful products.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Strong understanding of GenAI technologies.
    • Ability to work closely with engineering teams on technical aspects.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business).
  • Skills
    • Proficient in product management tools and methodologies.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
